Explosions In The Sky Announce New Album The Wilderness For April 2016 Release

Explosions In The Sky has announce the release of their sixth album, The Wilderness, set to be released on April 1, 2016. This comes after the announcement of an April 2016 UK/Ireland tour including a headline show at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall.

The Wilderness is co-produced by the band and longtime collaborator John Congleton. This is the first time the album is not produced entirely by the band and is the Texas quartet’s first non-soundtrack release since 2011’s Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. Following that LP, the band recorded scores for the 2013 comedy-drama Prince Avalanche along with the war movie Lone Survivor released that same year and the 2014 drama Manglehorn.
