Brian Fallon and the Crowes @ Great American Music Hall 3/25

Know the Gaslight Anthem? Yes, great! If not, check them out linked here. Just a little bit of background on the Gaslight Anthem before I get into Brian Fallon’s new band, the Gaslight Anthem was formed in 2006 and have released five albums since. Their most acclaimed album being Get Hurt, released in 2014, which reached the #4 spot on the Billboard 200. Punk and folk influences create the remarkably unique sounding group, the Gaslight Anthem. The band is now on a hiatus, so now Brian Fallon, the lead singer of the Gaslight Anthem, is working on his personal solo album.

On December 11th, 2015 Fallon released his first single from his new group Brian Fallon and the Crowes. Fallon’s voice in the single A Wonderful Life accentuates his raspy voice, sounding similar to Bruce Springsteen. He sings I want a life on fire, going mad with desire I don’t wanna survive, I want a wonderful life. The single is the ultimate feel good song to start your 2016 on the right note. Fallon plans to release his debut album Painkillers under Brian Fallon and the Crowes on March 11th. He will tour the United States and Europe to promote the album’s release.

Hopefully, this record will be comparable to other great solo albums such as Alex Turner’s The Age of the Understatement and Julian Casablancas’ Phrazes For the Young. If you’re a fan of the Gaslight Anthem, you must go see Brian Fallon and the Crowes. Grab some friends and get ready for a rockin’ night with the lead singer from the Gaslight Anthem. Listen to Brian Fallon and the Crowes’ single below.
