In anticipation of their coming EP, metal band Agoraphobic Nosebleed has released their second single from the album, “Deathbed.” Fitting with its title, the doom track foreshadows the coming doom of Arc, to be released Jan. 22 through Relapse Records.
Led by vocalist Kat Katz, who actualizes the Agoraphobic gloom with her full commitment to throat-shredding solos, the band released their first solo from the album, “Not Daughter” in December. At the same time of Arc’s release, they’ll be offering their full-length albums, Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope and Altered States of America for sale on vinyl for the first time in a decade. This is especially notable considering that Altered States of America is a 100-track, three-CD album.
Creating doom since the nineties, the band has hundreds of tracks in the public domain — though they haven’t put out a new album since And On and On… in 2011. If you’re wishing to catch a taste of death live, Agoraphobic Nosebleed will be performing at the Netherland’s Deathfest at the end of February, and then again at Hellfest in Clisson, France mid-June.
Arc, which will feature 25 minutes of sonic destruction over three tracks, is available for physical and digital pre-sale on the Relapse Records website.
