Former Scott Weiland Project The Wondergirls Plan To Release Formerly Unheard Music Featuring His Vocals

Unreleased music from recently passed Stone Temple Pilot’s frontman, Scott Weiland, is quickly around the corner. Sources say, Mark Racco, the director of Weiland’s side project, The Wondergirls, has revealed that the Wondergirls are planning on releasing a previously unreleased track titled “Massive Heart Attack” featuring Weiland. Mark Racco directed the video for “Drop That Baby” and recently commented on the clip’s YouTube page, indicating the plans.

In 1999, Weiland joined the supergroup. In addition to Weiland, the band featured Orgy‘s Jay Gordon and Ryan Shuck, Porno for Pyros‘ Martyn LeNoble, Puddle of Mudd‘s Doug Ardito, Thirty Seconds to Mars‘ Shannon Leto, actor/musician Ashley Hamilton, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, The Cult‘s Ian Astbury, Failure‘s Ken Andrews and Queens of the Stone Age‘s Troy Van Leeuwen.

Due to label and contract issues, the band only ended up releasing two songs: “Let’s Go All the Way” and “Drop That Baby.”

Racco’s comment said, “Keep your fingers crossed I’m currently in negotiations to direct a new Wondergirls video for an unreleased track Scott wrote and performed lead vocals on called ‘Massive Heart Attack’ which in light of his recent passing [will] be very enlightening as he appears to have predicted his own death in the song. The video will be for charity partly benefiting Musicares and partly for Scott’s children.”
