Veteran UK band Squeeze have released a new video for their song “Cradle To The Grave”, also the name of their latest LP released earlier this year.
The video shows the band playing the song themselves, but also shows lookalikes of the band members through the years to play the same song in the same room, and switches between shots of the “present day” band, as well as the actors representing younger versions of the band. The concept, while a bit understated, works very well with the upbeat, slightly “bouncy” nature of the song.
The new album is the band’s first in 17 years, and it seems they are aging gracefully, while maintaining a quality level of songwriting. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1978.
