Timbaland Announces First Mixtape King Stays King For Christmas Day Release, Featuring A Previously Unheard Aaliyah Song

Fans waiting for Timbaland to drop his in the works album Textbook Timbo still have to sit tight for another year. To thank his loyal fans for waiting, Timbaland has announced to release his first-ever mixtape, Kings Stay Kings, on Christmas day.

The free mixtape includes 18 tracks, including collaborations with Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, and Blaze. It also includes a previously unheard song from the late R&B singer Aaliyah, who worked extensively with Timbaland up until her tragic passing in 2001.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been able to give the world some new music,” Timbaland commented in a press release on Consequence of Sound. “I’ve spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the year.”

Timbaland has also been working with Pusha T and produced his latest single “Untouchable” along with producing few of Tink’s latest tracks.
