Online Music Streaming Service Rdio To Shut Down On December 22

Rdio, the online streaming service, was recently acquired by Pandora. The Rdio streaming service will shut down next Tuesda, December 22, at 5pm.

Rdio has sent out exporting link to its users to help with the change of listening experiences. The export device also offers users to export their playlist and comments along with any other music that they added to their Rdio collection.

Rdio recently filed for bankruptcy, Pandora was able to acquire Rdio’s technology and intellectual property. Rdio and Ticketfly will both be owned by Pandora. Ticketfly offers live music experiences through Pandora and Rdio will now offer more business alternatives to Pandora. However, the Rdio business will not be under Pandora, rather their technology and other usages that the company had while establishing and maintaining their website.

Rdio was purchased for $75 million dollars in cash by Pandora.
