LISTEN: Daddy (James Franco And Tim O’Keefe) Release New Song “You Are Mine”

Daddy, the duo band that consists of James Franco and Tim O’Keefe, released a new song “You Are Mine.” The song will appear in the latest film and album Let Me Get What I Want.

In 2012, James Franco and Tim O’Keefe made the band Daddy. “You Are Mine” is the second single from the album besides “This Charming Man,” which included bass work by former Smiths member Andy Rourke. The single is everything to do with high school and that innocent young romance. ” At least I was too immature and sensitive to be the person I wanted to be. ‘You Are Mine’ is about one teenager dreaming about another, even though they’ll never be together,” said Franco. The song sounds everything like the aspirations of teenagers in love, how do they show the person of interest their affection? Will it be received? If acting immature makes you smile, then does it mean that they like each other? “‘You Are Mine,’ like many of the songs on Let Me Get What I Want, expresses experiences that were relatable to my own high school experience, and therefore I had a lot of my own emotions to pull from,” Said Tim O’Keefe about the music components and the making of the song “You Are Mine.”

“You Are Mine,” “This Charming Man” and even the album, Let Me Get What I Want, are all about the ways in which The Smiths music often inspired a young Franco and most of the songs are from some of his published poems from the book, Directing Herbert White: Poems. The album, Let Me Get What I Want, will be coming next spring.
