Alt-country outfit, Drive-By Truckers just laid plans to tour this coming winter. Fronted on the groundwork of their latest live-record: It’s Great To Be Alive!, released last October, this trucking crew, hailing from Athens, GA will also soon set-foot in the studio to begin work on a full-length LP of brand-new material to further the longevity of their already stunning career in music.
Kicking-it-off in not-so-typical trucker fashion, Drive-By Truckers will burst into their winter-escapades come January, playing four-consecutive days in a row during a stint in Mexico amid the Todos Santos Music Festival. Rounding out a few double-headers here-and-there in such classic venue-spots as Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club and Brooklyn’s own Music Hall of Williamsburg, the southern-rockers will also grace their native land of Athens, GA with a three-day spree of suped-up country with a bang.
Although the full-gang won’t be on the road for another month-or-so, co-frontmen: Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley will each play a select-choice number of solo-dates beginning tonight(12/15) as Hood graces Seattle with his talents at the Tractor Tavern.
AmEx ticket presales begin Wednesday, December 16 and sales to the general public will be made available Friday, December 18 at noon.
