San Diego-based Wavves have released their latest video, for the track “My Head Hurts” from their most recent album, V. The album was released on October 2, 2015.
“My Head Hurts” is the second official music video for a track from V, following the video for the album’s first single, “Way Too Much.” They originally released the song “My Head Hurts” at the end of August.
The video contains footage from the band’s fall 2015 tour, following them on the road and onstage. There are shots of them performing live and shots of them using GPS in the tour bus. The video also shows viewers quite a bit of crowdsurfing, as well as what the band’s lives are like behind the scenes – playing video games, drinking beer, eating at Buffalo Wild Wings and more. After “Way Too Much” was released over the summer, Wavves fought with their record company, Warner Bros. Records, on Twitter. The band had premiered the song without the company’s permission and the record label removed it, causing the band to tweet at the label. Wavves threatened to leak the entire album and did re-post the song via Soundcloud.
Since then, there haven’t been many conflicts with regards to their album. They have released numerous other songs throughout the year, including “Flamzesz,” “Heavy Metal Detox” and, most recently, “Pony” – not to be confused with the Ginuwine song of the same name. Wavves is co-headlining a North American tour with Best Coast in February and March 2016.
