Nada Surf will release their new album You Know Who You Are on March 4, 2016. This is the first album Nada Surf has made as a 4-person band.
The core-trio consists of singer/guitarist Matthew Caws, bassist Daniel Lorca, and drummer Ira Elliot. The band is joined by Doug Gillard who has played live with them for a while. According to BrooklynVegan the album was originally released in January when Caws decided to rework some of the songs and a few new ones. The first song is posted below.
The Four Oh Five posted a statement of Caws commented on the work saying, “I was so eager to have an album done that I believed in it as it was. But the great thing about being ‘finished’ is that you can take a breath and evaluate, because the pressure to ‘do it’ is gone. The more I listened and thought about it, the more I realized that I might want to keep working.”
The band has also announced a spring tour spanning from May 12 to June 4.
