Danish Brewer Mikkeler is releasing several limited edition beers in conjunction with artists from the Domino and Ribbon Music labels. Real Estate, White Lung, Hamilton Leithauser and the Pastels worked with Mikkeler’s brewing team to create the booze and each individual artist’s beer has it’s own signature artwork.
The first two beers in the series to be released are Leithauser’s Black Hours Stout, named after his album, and Pastels’ Pastelism. Both are available now.
Beer and music have pretty much always gone hand-in-hand, so it’s no surprise to see a cross-promotion tactic like this. Legendary metal band Iron Maidendid the same thing several years ago, and there certainly weren’t any complaints. Fans of the artists, the brewery and people everywhere in general, likely will not be opposed to this release.
