Recently, David Bowie announced release date for his new, upcoming album, Blackstar, that will be released on January 8. Now, November 19, 2016, Bowie released a ten-minute music video for his title track, “Blackstar”.
The music video was directed by TV Show’s Breaking Bad director, Johan Renck. The video travels through space with a dead astronaut, visits a woman with a tail, solar eclipses, dark, eery clips of children singing, living scarecrows, and much more.
Lately, Bowie’s songwriting talents have been involved with many things like the SpongeBob SquarePants musical and a European crime drama called The Last Panthers. Bowie has written several songs for the upcoming Broadway show. Bowie may seem like a surprising addition to the SpongeBob cast, however, true SpongeBob fans will know in 2007, Bowie’s voice became the sounds of character, Lord Royal Highness. Additionally, Bowie’s most recent single “Blackstar,” will be used for the six part crime drama series.
