The Compton fictional documentary film, produced by the N.W.A. that came out this year, will be given soundtrack and score that comes out next year. The movie will be given two different soundtracks: Straight Outta Compton: The Soundtrack includes the works of Ice Cube (“No Vaseline”), Eazy-E (“Boyz-N-The Hood”), and Dr. Dre (“Nuthin’ But a G Thang”), as well as relevant tracks from acts such as Parliament, Funkadelic, the Roy Ayers Ubiquity and Steve Arrington’s Hall of Fame. The score for the movie that will be released as a soundtrack will be composed and conducted by Joseph Trapanese. The Straight Outta Compton: The Soundtrack will be available as a double-vinyl set.
The movie Straight Outta Compton will be available for viewing pleasure on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand. The director’s cut version of the film will be offered in Blu-ray and Digital HD with deleted scenes and commentary from director F. Gary Gray. Recently, Jerry Heller of the NWA, filed a lawsuit Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E’s widow Tomica Woods-Wright, for their portrayal of the N.W.A. manager as a shady businessman following the release of the film. The N.W.A. manager stated that none of the allegations were correct and has sued for one hundred and ten million dollars for the incorrect allegations about his public image as well as damages for copyright infringement, and breach of contract.
