Chinara Butler, late wife of the Houston rap star Pimp C, has announced that an album of his unreleased work will be coming out this December. The album, which is appropriately titled Long Live The Pimp, features Nas, A$AP Rocky, Juicy J, T.I., Bun B, Ty Dolla $ign and more. According to Fader, Butler made a statement about all of the work that went into the album. She states:
This album is the culmination of years of work from not just me, but also the amazing artists and producers who contributed to make it happen. It combines several of the ideas and projects my husband began before his untimely passing. We hope the Trill fans enjoy it.
The first taste of the album was released this weekend, and features a collaboration with Lil Wayne. The track, titled “3 Way Freak,” is definitely not one that you want to listen to with your grandparents in the room. Though not for the easily offended, it is a non-stop track that serves as a preview for what’s to come from the rest of the album. Fans who pre-order Long Live The Pimp will automatically receive “3 Way Freak.”
