Faith No More will revisit the band’s breakout, debut album, We Care Lot, and celebrate its 30 year anniversary. Faith No More will redistribute the album disc through Koolarrow Records next year with bonus tracks and never-before-seen photography.
We Care a Lot served as Faith No More’s debut disc. At the time, the band’s lead vocalist was Chuck Mosley, with Mike Bordin on drums, Roddy Bottum on keyboards, Bill Gould on bass, and Jim Martin as the guitarist. Reports say, of the songs on the album disc, the title track We Care a Lot would become Faith No More’s biggest hit (though it was not popular until the song was re-recorded for their Introduce Yourself album).
Speaking on the upcoming reissue, bassist Gould stated, “I just recently found some old tapes in my attic and had them transferred, some of them from this recording session. I have to say, they sounded really good! It surprised me, and made me look at these 20-year-old idiots with a bit more respect.”
In the meantime, as fans anticipate the reissue of We Care a Lot, Faith No More released a reunion album of sorts, Sol Invictus.
