The power-trio, Nevermen, comprised of keynote-players: Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio fame, rapper: Adam “Doseone” Drucker, best-known for Anticon/cLOUDDEAD, and Faith No More‘s megamind-frontman: Mike Patton just dropped plans to release their self-titled debut effort this January 29. The record arrives fresh in the wake of it’s first-taste, “Tough Towns” via Patton’s very own: Ipecac Recordings and Lex Records, internationally.
Nevermen features the original album artwork-stylings of Turner Prize-winning designer: Keith Tyson in order to shape the aesthetic-tone for the listener at bay. Hailed as neither a side-project nor super-group, this leaderless trio is simply and thoroughly meant to exert its tentative being as a creative-entity all its own.
While the creation of Nevermen first began years ago and since has acquired the sense and dignity to manifest a partnership requiring each member to share all facets of this dynamic train of fruition, they were free to discover a new sound at an earnest guile.
Rolling Stone reveals the cut, “Tough Towns” as:
“a quirky, cinematic avant-pop single featuring five minutes of eerie synthesizers and understated hip-hop beats.”

“I really want it to be a true composite of what we all do best. Completely succinct, continuous, cool rhyming poems with everyone’s voices and melody talents.”
