U2 typically leaves Patti Smith to her own performance, occasionally joining to sing snippets of her songs; however, Thursday night, at London’s O2 Arena, U2 joined Patti Smith to perform Smith’s 1988 hit single, “People Have The Power”.
Reports say, “Bono began the duet with a solo rendition of Horses staple “Gloria” before Smith joined him, and then the two launched into Dream Of Life’s “People Have The Power.””
U2 have been on tour in Europe since early September and are currently in the middle of their many stops in London. After London, they head to Paris, where they will record an HBO concert special. Then Belfast and Dublin, where to finish the 2015 tour. There are no dates for 2016, but the band is expected to return to America to hit cities they missed this year.
