Tove Lo has been busy touring and promoting her Queen of the Clouds album since it was released last year, but this new single “Moments” has an interesting video to go with it.
Throughout the video clip, Tove Lo is placed through therapy sessions for drugs, being taken in for questioning by police, and even coming out of car wreck completely dazed. The single “Moments” reveals these short clips within the video as part of the Tove Lo’s past. Her drug problems, trouble with the law, and even car crash have not gotten in the way of the her unstoppable ability to keep performing.
So why did the singer put these specific past occurrences in her video? Was it to show that not all musicians are perfect? Was Tove Lo trying to say that her past has been a motivation for her to keep going forward? Even though the video starts out with Tove Lo being talked to by a therapist about her drug usage, is she trying to say that she is working on becoming a better person and that these experiences are about being human?
