Florence + The Machine released their new video for “Delilah”, cut off their newest album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. Artistic as it is disturbing, it is sure to capture any fan’s attention.

Just like Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer”, and Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City” music videos were both nostalgic, and era-important respectively, “Delilah” makes a statement. What that statement signifies, is open to interpretation. The good part is, the viewer won’t have a hard time forming an opinion. Subtlety wasn’t high on Florence + The Machine’s agenda.

The popular festival circuit act went all out for the video, and showcased topics that are bound to initiate conversation. Sleep paralysis, demonic images and sex are just several of the themes incorporated into the shoot. The choreography is spirited and memorable, making an impact with the melodic nature of the song itself.

Not only thought provoking, the video is sure to raise the bar for other artists in an era where music videos can fall into a multitude of cliches.

The band is currently on tour supporting the album.
