According to Irish photographer, Neil Dalton, legendary punk-metalier, Glenn Danzig allegedly punched him a few times while his personal security-guards held Dalton in place during a live-performance in Montreal last weekend.
Given Danzig‘s violent-propensity to attack concert-goers who violate his strict no-photo policy, the alleged recent claims reported by Dalton just might contain some truth. During his set at Bonnaroo in 2012, Danzig viciously chased photographer off-the-stage. Earlier this year, a poor, unsuspecting-fan got caught in an uproarious-headlock at the throes Danzig after sneaking a quick-pick of the show.
Metal Injection received varying accounts of the incident that occurred in Montreal between Glenn Danzig and Neil Dalton. While certain aspects don’t quite align perfectly with Dalton’s version of what happened, the general consensus indicate Danzig repeatedly warned fans not to take any photographs.
Glenn Danzig relayed his position to the live-audience by saying he was:
“not going into your house to video you.”
Apparently one person did state reports that the two did have direct eye-contact at one point in time during the show.
“Right after the show ended, Glenn came running out and engaged Neil and threw a kick to Neil’s ribs, and connected,” the source wrote. “He also swung a couple punches that missed before security got Glenn on his bus. Glenn kept calling Neil a motherfucker.”
