Danzig is working on a new album, Skeletons, with some old material. The new album will include covers of songs by Elvis Presley, ZZ Top, and The Everly Brothers, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, and The Troggs. Danzig’s new album is all about how he became the forefront of many of the bands he often played with and how he was hooked on becoming the devilish rock star that he known to be.

Not only does Danzig’s new album include his interest from this young good old days in wanting to become a rock star, but also his impact on the riffs you would hear with most heavy metal music and the occult obsession that many metal jackets on albums have with the band’s name and title of their work. Although Danzig may have released another album in the bast, his 2010 Deth Red Saboath, he is also working on furthering the success of his Verotik Comics and directing a feature film that will debut very soon.

Skeletons will be released shortly or pre-order, but Danzig announced his plans on the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel in his own interview. The new album is a more personal side to the artists and also reveals the layers of development he has undergone in his music over the years. The new album will be more than just something new, it will be the beginning point for another revolution in music, comics, and film Danzig plans to play out. Danzig is already touring in the Blackest of Black Tour this fall and will be announcing his tour dates for Skeletons after its release later this year.

“These are my skeletons,” said Danzig. “You may or may not know that I dig these songs. You could say that some of this music is the actual basis and skeleton of what I listened to growing up—ultimately informing the kind of music I like. It’s the foundation. If you took Elvis and Sabbath out of my life, I probably wouldn’t be the Glenn Danzig you know! I’m glad both sides are represented on this record.”
