An unlikely pairing has emerged in the music world.
British band Glass Animals have collaborated with rapper Joey Bada$$ on a new single “Lose Control.”
“Lose Control” blends Joey Bada$$’ sharp yet fiery lyrical rhythm with Glass Animals’ trip-hop rock swimmingly. Later in the song Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley joins in, weaving together a collaboration absurd when said, but remarkable when heard.
A statement from Glass Animals, as reported by SPIN, reads:
So excited to share this new track with you all…got into the studio with our friend joey for this one and ended up working together over night ’til we had it nearly done. hope you enjoy, and big love to our bro joey badass. awesome.

Dave Bayley discovered Joey in 2012 when he found a liking to one of his mixtapes. When Bayley came to find that Joey liked the group, he decided to contact him for the collaboration, which was recorded in Brooklyn. ‘We got into the booth and put down pretty much the entire thing in one foul swoop…dude is so talented,’ said Bayley.’Then I hopped in and did my bit. Then I ate my dumplings. Hopefully we’re going to do some more stuff together at some point.’
