Kentucky rock band Cage the Elephant have announced their upcoming album will be released on Dec. 18, according to Consequence of Sound.
The upcoming LP, Tell Me I’m Pretty, will mark the band’s fourth album. Though the band teased the upcoming album way back in January, the release date has only recently been announced for Dec. 18 via RCA Records.
The band reportedly spent their time recording in Nashville’s Easy Eye Sound with producer Dan Auerbach. Auerbach, of The Black Keys and The Arcs, is a former tour mate of the band.
According to the band’s press release, TMIP will take their 2013, Grammy-nominated Melophobia to the next level, while simultaneously going back to the band’s roots of inspiration. Lead singer Matt Shultz stated:
With this record, we wanted to be more transparent. We wanted to capture the sentiment of each song, and whatever response it provoked, to be really honest to that.
Fans can pre-order the album here, with their choice of special bundles.
