From Portland, Oregon comes the great chamber pop band Loch Lomond with their new song “A String”. Known for playing a significant role in Portland’s local music scene, the band has a unique folksy pop sound that feels very homey and fun.
“A String” showcases Ritchie Young’s incredible vocals and range, as well as the wide range of instruments the band members are so skilled with. Overall, it’s a fun smooth track that is heartfelt and genuine – something we love in this kind of music. You’ll find yourself appreciating the heart and soul put into this track, and anticipating Loch Lomond’s planned new album in 2016 – Pens from Spain.
We’ve seen Loch Lomond’s talent in their studio albums such as Little Me Will Start A Storm. What makes them stand out as an artist includes their control and simplicity as well as the raw tender emotion in their tracks. “A String” will have you contemplating how it is even possible these melodies can flow together that well. If you’re a fan of indie folk / pop, you’re really going to love “A String” and the gentle melodies behind the powerful songwriting skills.
“Loch Lomond boast a well-plotted dynamism and a knack for intriguing storytelling. Intimately folksy but compellingly orchestral” – Spin
After a decade of existing, Loch Lomond clearly has plenty of live shows and releases under their belt. From promoting their older album Little Me Will Start A Storm on west coast tour to a tour they’re currently on in September/October, Loch Lomond has a great sound and a great style as musical artists.
