Myrkur just released a new track, “Den Lille Piges Dod (The Little Girl’s Death)” for free on Adult Swim.
Adult Swim’s 2015 Singles Series has been all across the musical spectrum. We have seen songs from Run The Jewels to Peaches and everywhere in between. With two more weeks and two more singles to go, the release of Myrkur’s “Den Lille Piges Dod (The Little Girl’s Death) mores the 16th release. This third installment into the metal genre followed suite to the Slayer and Thou releases in the past.
The song is stemmed out of Myrkur’s black metal vault and starts as a dream like trance with a quick screaming transition into the guitar rift build up that sets the pace for the rest of the song. All of the singles that we have seen through this year’s single series have been, seemingly, top tracks of the artist’s unreleased albums and this one is no exception. Sounding like the perfect background music for an upcoming blockbuster movie. Del Lille Piges Dod delivers the adrenaline pump that any black metal fan will love. With only a couple weeks to go in this year’s singles release it seems like Myrkur was the tail end of the metal portion. The Song can be sampled below.
