American rock band The Neighbourhood are back with another classic black and white video staying true to their monochromatic theme. This video is for their track “R.I.P 2 My Youth” off their new album WIPED OUT!
The band, taking an artistic detail in their previous mixtape entitled #000000 & #FFFFFF represent the HTML hex codes for the colours black and white. This mixtape followed the success of their album I Love You., containing the hit track “Sweater Weather”.
Following this trend, the videos for “#icanteven”, “Warm” and “Dangerous” off of the mixtape #000000 & #FFFFFF were all in black and white. The video for “R.I.P 2 My Youth” is just like that, with some unique shots of the band in coffins, underground tunnels, and more. What’s so great about this video is that it really focuses on the rhythm of the track “R.I.P 2 My Youth” with shots like banging a drum and water dropping. The backbeat of this track really makes the vocals shine.
The Neighbourhood is currently touring their Fall 2015 tour, promoting their new album WIPED OUT! set for release on October 30th. This track was the release single for their new album, and we hope to see some more incredible work just like this from their new album.
