Tennessee native Meg Myers has premiered her newest track “Motel” via Spin.
The track can be found on her upcoming debut album Sorry, which will be released in three days on Sept. 18.
The singer/songwriter originally premiered the album with the release of the title track, “Sorry,” back in April. Following its debut, Myers soon after created a music video to accompany the track. Also on the album is the already released track “Lemon Eyes.”
Now, Myers sings “Someone let me out / I can’t stop this pain / It only grows” in this new rock track.
The artist told Spin that the song was inspired by “searching for beauty in ugly situations” both while being on the road and while living out daily life.
I used to write a lot about really dark subjects only, and this song was a way for me to finally find joy amidst the pain.
Myers’ smooth voice is perfectly accompanied by soft rock instrumentations that intensifies and makes you feel all the right feels. You can listen below.
Be sure to catch Meg Myers on her upcoming fall tour, beginning on Sept. 25 and ending on Nov. 17.
