Jack White And Black Keys’ Patrick Carney Make Up After Alleged Twitter Fight

After some muddled Twitter tension and grey areas, the issue seems to now be black and white: Jack White and The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney seemed to have made up after an alleged beef via the Internet last night.

Loudwire and Rolling Stone reported that in a series of tweets on Sunday night, which have since been taken down, Carney accused White of trying to start a fight at Cabin Down Below bar in New York City. The tweets, as reported by Loudwire, read in succession:

I’ve never met Jack White. Until last night. He came to a bar in NYC I go to a lot with a few friends and tried to fight me/I don’t fight and don’t get fighting, but he was mad/Jack White is basically Billy Corgan’s dumb ass ‘Zero’ t-shirt in human form/Jack White, a 40-year-old bully tried to fight the 35-year-old nerd. It might get loud, but it might also get really, really sad and pathetic.

According to Rolling Stone, White said:

Nobody tried to fight you, Patrick. Nobody touched you or ‘bullied’ you. You were asked a question you couldn’t answer, so you walked away. So quit whining to the Internet and speak face to face like a human being. End of story.

However, Carney tweeted this morning and things seemed to have smoothed over. The tweet read: “Talked to jack for an hour he’s cool. All good.”

UPDATE: The tweet has since been removed. We’re not sure if that means things are no longer all good. His most recent tweet states:

Loudwire also mentioned that back in 2013, tensions rose between White and Carney when leaked emails from divorce proceedings revealed White saying he believed The Black Keys had ripped off his music. In those same emails, White claimed he did not want his children attending the same school as Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys’ children. However, White later apologized to the band.

White bashed the The Black Keys in a Rolling Stone interview in 2014, which he also consequently apologized for on his website.
