LISTEN: The Dead Weather Release New Song “Cop And Go”

Dead Weather has released a new single from their album, Dodge and Burn, “Cop and Go”. The band has released other singles from the album including “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles),” “Its Just Too Bad,” “Open Up (That’s Enough),” “Rough Detective,” “Buzzkill(er).” Dodge and Burn will be released this September.

The theme of the new album is about the way someone can get caught up on the bad side of the law, the dangers of being a criminal or someone who is just plain dirty. The new single speaks danger and dirty in the sense of murderers and running away from cops, or just criminals running from the law.

Dead Weather will appear on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert marking their five year performance on the show and will perform their new album. Colbert’s new show started September 8. Dead Weather will be performing the second week of the shows air and that will also include presidential candidate Bernie Sanders also making stop to talk with Colbert. But Dead Weather’s performance is also very important because Jack White will lead the performance and has not done that in years. White took break from touring this past April after promoting his new album, Lazaretto, and has worked on the documentary American Epic.
