The Duke Spirit Announce New Album KIN For 2016 Release

The Duke Spirit has announced their new Album KIN along with their new single off the album.

The Duke Spirit has announced the release of their fourth album KIN to follow their 2011 release Bruiser. While the date that the album will be released is still unanswered along with its tracklist, the first single has been released by the band. According to Under the Radar Magazine, “Here comes the Vapour” is the name of the newly released single. In the single we see collaboration of several different guests. These guests include Terry Edwards, the Deep Throat Choir, and the record’s producer Simon Raymonde on keys, as stated in The Line of Best Fit.

Judging from the way the band switched up their creative process for their latest album it is safe to assume a vastly different sound with KIN. Fans can always expect a very well thought out and complete album from the UK Band. It has been nearly four years since the band has released their last album leaving them plenty of time to perfect their next release.

According to The Line Of Best Fit, in regards to KIN, lead singer Liela Moss was quoted saying “great sensuality and luminosity that the songs evoke…we took some time away. We had to loosen the grip, change the pattern, let in fresh prana.”

According to The Duke Spirit’s facebook page, they are going to be playing Wilton’s Music Hall in London on October 22nd. The tickets will go on sale at 10am this Wednesday (9th). They released their new single to Facebook in celebration to this upcoming show and are displaying a lot of excitement toward it. Being in their hometown, the excitement is understandable and the show is not something a fan should miss out on.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
