Katy Goodman of La Sera, released a video for her single, “10 Headed Goat Wizard,” from her album Hour of the Dawn, which was released last year. La Sera will be performing her music at the Burger-a-Go-Go in Santa Ana at The Observatory.
The video is charming and vibrant like the days of summer, despite the fact that summer will be over soon. The single is represents the way in how someone often lives in the following months from a break up. Even though breakups are known to be messy, this singer thought it would be nice to channel all heart breaks and created La Sera. “I wanted the new La Sera record to sound like Lesley Gore fronting Black Flag,” said Katy Goodman, ” “I didn’t want it to be another record of me sad, alone in my room.” The single features a Smiths-like vibe in which the ending of the song had a proper way of making the band stuck somewhere in the crossroads of success or distant memories.
The video is somewhere like the beginning story in Grease. Sandy and Danny try a summer romance, but somehow there is no way in which the two could ever stay together. But while this video is more like the end to a long-term summer relationship, it is nothing compared to the end of all relationships, messy and hard to move on, but once the feet are planted on the ground, its time to get up and go, in hopes that another chapter of romance can begin.
