Burger A-Go-Go Happening This Weekend Featuring Cat Power, Kate Nash And The Julie Ruin

A live stream of Burger-A-Go-Go 2 is hitting the Observatory Orange County this weekend, highlighted by Cat Power, Kate Nash, the Julie Ruin, and a diverse variety of female-fronted performers.

Burger Records, an independent record that has been “making rare to well-done records and tapes since 2007”, runs a rock & roll radio show recorded live every Sunday at Burger Records.  Based out of Fullerton, California, the label and record store was founded by Sean Bohrman and Lee Rickard, members of the power pop band Thee Makeout Party, in 2007. Last year’s first Burger-A-Go-Go festival “blew minds”, according to LA Weekly.

The all-star 2015 lineup of the second-annual, female-focused Burger-A-Go-Go fest features both “living legends” such as Kathleen Hanna and Kim Gordon and “younger garage rockers” like Cherry Glazerr. Listen to the Julie Ruin’s exclusively released track or catch up on Kate Nash’s Girl Gang TV episodes before the music festival. Open to all ages, both Burger Records stages will stream audio live for the festival on September 4th and 5th.
