Deerhunter Announce Fall 2015 Tour Dates With Supporting Act Atlas Sound

Deerhunter has recently released their new album, Fading Frontier, following the accident of member Bradford Cox who is also Atlas Sound. The group has recently released tour dates for their upcoming US tour and European tour following the release of the album one day before the tour starts in October of this year.

Fading Frontier is the seventh album written by Deerhunter and is followup to their 2013 album, Monomania. Last year, Cox was hospitalized after being part of a terrible accident that left him in a state of depression. Cox stated in his interview with Rolling Stone, that he wanted nothing to do with making music because he was unable to comprehend the moment he was injured from the crash. The new album, according to Cox, is almost like a revival for him after going through therapy and taking in a dog as a form of comfort for his depression.

Deerhunter is currently in the lineup for the Le Guess Who? Festival. Recently, the shows for December 8 and 9 in New York City at the Warsaw and Irving Plaza were sold out. But if fans of Deerhunter are members on the band are Junkely members, they can go see the band performa ta a small gig on December 7 at the Rough Trade with Atlas Sound.

“This record feels to me like the first day of spring, where you go out and everybody’s happy and sitting on their stoops and walking their dogs and waving to each other,” Cox said. “It happens once a year, after a brutal winter. It’s the day when you realize it’s not gonna be freezing forever, you’re not gonna be miserable forever. It’s a very special feeling.”
