Fresh out of retirement, Christian post-hardcore clan, Underoath have announced plans for an extensive tour through North America this coming Spring 2016. Based on the promise of simply two-show, tease-reunion, it appears respective fans of Underoath just couldn’t get enough of a good thing.
Having been dubbed the: “Rebirth Tour,” the live-set will feature Underoath’s two most-accalimed records to date: They’re Only Chasing Safety(2004) and Define the Great Line(2006). The Tampa, FL natives will be performing both of these albums from start-to-finish.
“I think the thought of Underoath playing again seemed really exciting,” explains Tim McTague of the band’s reunion. “We never thought we’d ever even want to play together again, much less be as excited to do so. It was a really cool feeling, and when discussing what this tour could be, it just felt right to play the two albums that our fans have held dearly for so many years. I think it’s going to be really special.”
“I hated the idea of Underoath being ‘over’ and I’m not sure what we are, but we are all friends again and that’s really the most important thing, ” said Spencer Chamberlain. “That being said, we felt like now is a great time to do a tour and celebrate Define the Great Line turning ten.”
While pre-sale tickets are already accessible, the general on-sale for most dates will start this Friday, August 28 at 10a.m.. VIP-packages and access to previous albums and a wide-assortment of merchandise will be made available for mega-fans and the like.
