Fresh off of the heels of their latest release, Sol Invictusexperimental-rock veterans: Faith No More drop brand-new live-video, “Sunny Side Up” to tease their fans of an upcoming performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live, ” September 3rd.

Gilded on the grounds of an 18-year-hiatus, these funk-metal junkies simply waltzed into the modern-rock scene uninvited, but fully-prepared to wreak havoc on a genre faltering a well-run-dry of ideas.  Many of their contemporaries are half-their-age, yet still owe a debt of gratitude to the influential-nuance brought by Faith No More.

Shot at The Fillmore in Detroit on May 8th, the anthemic “Sunny Side Up” calls attention to the notion: “You can’t make an omelette without breaking some eggs.”  Lead by the ever-enduring frontman, Mike Patton, whose chilling-vocals provoke the madding-crowd when he leads them astray with deep-chanted whispers followed by the nasal-screech of an embellished hook-phrase.  Patton’s lyrical-intentions spit in the face of reason due to his incessant knack for ambiguous-humor at rhythm and rhyme sake.

Bouncing into a sweltering pot of funk-ferocity, the sputter of a slap-bass drives “Sunny Side Up” directly into chorus of dynamic post-punk glory-street.  The pay-off of course…Faith No More still got it!  In direct support of Sol Invictus, which sold an unprecedented 31,000 units in the United States during its first week, the band have toured most of the year and will soon hit festivals: AftershockBumbershoot, and Riot Fest & Carnival in an effort to announce their comeback to the stream of flowing-music.

Now under their newly formed imprint, Reclamation Recordings, the San Francisco natives stir the pot with live-video posts: “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” during “Midlife Crisis” and “Superhero.”  The live-performances are the band’s direct marketing-campaign designed to ignite a fire in the dilapidated realm deserving of the all-infectious term: alternative-rock.
