Diplo and Skrillex have been producing with none other than Arcade Fire’s very own Win Butler and Régine Chassange.
What was originally reported as merely an artistic gettogether in the studio is beginning to pick up some more hype, reports Consequence of Sound. Electronic producers and DJs Diplo and Skrillex, known together as Jack Ü, recently revealed that the members of Arcade Fire have provided “files” to be used for editing and looping. A joint project between these three musical entities could very well be on its way. The collaboration was first made public in July via the Arcade Fire tube Twitter account below:
The Jack Ü project has exploded this year. With the enormous release of their self-titled EP this spring and headlining appearances at Ultra, Hangout, and HARD Summer, they’ve become one of the biggest names in innovative electronic music in 2015. Individually, both artists have been making plenty of noise as well. Diplo, who also produces and performs as Major Lazer, released a new album titled Peace Is The Mission alongside Jillionare and Walshy Fire this June. He’s also facilitated yeet another successful run of the ever-growing Mad Decent Block Party festival throughout the summer. Skrillex has been on tour this summer as well (alongside Diplo as Jack U) as part of his Full Flex Express tour. Other performers on the tour include A$AP Ferg, Zeds Dead, and Tycho among many more.
Arcade Fire is currently working on a documentary titled Reflector Tapes. The documentary will feature the production and performances revolving around their 2013 album, Reflector.
