The Chemical Brothers have recently released their 8th record Born in the Echo which includes features from St. Vincent, Beck, Q-Tip and many others. The legendary group released the video for their latest single “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted.”
The duo has been headlining festivals left and right since releasing their latest LP. The song has been one of their biggest hits at each festival and with HARD Los Angeles and San Francisco behind them now, the British pair has Lowlands in the Netherlands and Electric Zoo in New York to look forward to next.
Directed by Ninian Doff, the video consists of a discombobulated woman that is running away from multiple men while stranded in the desert. The zombie-apocalyptic video embraces the essence of the song. The only lyrics repeated throughout the song is “And sometimes you feel so deserted but hold on cause help is on the way,” which is repeated throughout the video visually as well. The woman is seen severely hurt by men in a truck until refueling her body with gasoline It’s mostly a game of cat and mouse throughout the entire video. It’s an odd, futuristic, beautiful visual that is worth watching.
