American singer songwriter and rock musician Chris Cornell has announced that he’ll be releasing his fifth studio album, Higher Truth September 20th, 2015.
With Higher Truth, Chris Cornell intends to showcases his constant evolution as a master songwriter, lyricist and musical craftsman – telling stories that are extremely relatable, which transcend musical genres. Inspired by the stark arrangements of musicians like Nick Drake, Daniel Johnston and White Album-era Beatles, Cornell creates a musical universe unlike anything he has done previously.
In addition to releasing Higher Truth, Cornell will be embarking on an acoustic tour on September 17th in Phoenix, AZ crossing North America before eventually finishing on November 2nd in Austin, TX. Additional stops include the Walt Disney Music Hall, and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Cornell is a Multiple Grammy Award-winning, Golden Globe Nominated and acclaimed singer and songwriter, meaning that Higher Truth can be expected to be a quality album for anyone to close out the summer with due to Cornell’s constant ability to transcend musical genres. The album includes twelve songs, with an additional four bonus songs for those who buy the deluxe addition of the album.
