Bumbershoot 2015 Lineup Announced Featuring The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding And Faith No More

Seattle’s annual music and arts festival, Bumbershoot is back in action, featuring the gifted talents of The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding, and Faith No More among other special guests.  This year marks the festival’s 45th anniversary as the city’s cultural touchstone, offering: music, comedy, theater, words & ideas, visual arts, and short film.

Playing host to a cornucopia of artistic expressions, Bumbershoot sets-up shop on Labor day Weekend(Sep. 5-7).  The festival offers a wide-array of both local and regional talent in direct contrast to national and international artists.

This year, AEG Live merged with local producer One Reel in an effort to expand the horizons of the musical line-up.  Now Bumbershoot showcases top-tier acts, such as: The Weeknd, Faith No More, Ellie Goulding, Chance the Rapper, Kacey Musgraves, Bassnectar, and a slew of other highlights from a multi-genre perspective.

In the realm of comedy, Bridget Everett(of Amy Schumer fame) and YouTube breakout, Puddles’ Pity Party will lead a stellar-cast that includes: Neil Hamburger, Alex Edelman, and Talk Salad & Scrambled Eggs, featuring: Kevin Smith and Matt Mira.

Curated by the Seattle International Film Festval, the One Reel Film Festival at Bumbershoot displays several top-ranking short films each year along with an entire assortment of theater programs, compliments of Theatre Puget Sound.
