Ryan Adams Announces Smiths-Style Cover Album of Taylor Swift’s 1989

Ryan Adams has put his ingenious spin on Taylor Swift’s entire breakthrough album, 1989 and it’s projected to move you to tears. His Smiths-style cover album was announced just a few days ago and is bound to be heaping with swirling emotions. Taylor Swift mentioned on Twitter, “I’m not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again, and I’m going to celebrate today every year as a holiday.”– as she continues to re-tweet his unveiling album day by day. Their sharing of parallel emotions towards the forthcoming album has been astonishing to fans and supporters. The Denver rock band, The Fray joined in on the exciting news by tweeting to Swift, “Um so… @TheRyanAdams doing #1989. Yes please.”

Rolling Stones made a good observation on Ryan Adams not receiving a response to his many credible references to the well-known British rock band, The Smiths, on his renditions of Swift’s 1989 in it’s entirety. Adams has been giving amazing life to his fans through instagram 15 second snippets by showing the recording of Swift hit records, “Welcome To New York”, “Shake It Off”, “Blank Space”, “Style”, “Bad Blood”, and many others to come. Adam’s showed his lyrical process with explanatory notes and many circle indicators on pages for “Welcome To New York”–which sounds like it is going to be one of his top covers. The recording experience looks like an adventure as you catch Adam’s with what looks like an astronaut helmet as he waves his hands back and forward in total praise of his self-interpretation of the track. The multi-artistic singer/songwriter instagram and twitter has been filled with witty-comicals and enough snippets that will make you wanna pass out from anticipation.

The set up at PaxAm studio recording sessions fit the ambience of the music; full of vintage instruments, “spooky” skulls and pinball machines. Adam’s mentioned, “Tracking, “Out Of The Woods”, on this old Estey pump organ. Such a pretty song. #1989″ We reported at the end of May about the Grammy nominee broke rib during his performance at the Sasquatch! Music Festival, but that didn’t stop him from finishing off his Spring 2015 tour. He’s a conqueror alright, can’t wait to hear the finished product, can you?
