Canadian musician Teen Daze is on course to release a new album this August. The album, titled Morning World, highlights the favourable style of home recorded musicians and embellishes upon Teen Daze’s dreamy style. Here we have a new track by Teen Daze titled “Along” – a preview for the upcoming album.
Teen Daze already has two studio albums: The Inner Mansions and All of Us, Together. The electronic ambient of “Along” surely highlights the successful ethereal sound Teen Daze cultivated in his earlier albums. “Along” combines an incredible rhythm with some futuristic sounds, creating an ultimate chillwave-esque track. Without committing wholeheartedly to a single genre (as most musicians refrain from), Teen Daze creates and develops a new sound with this track that takes elements from new electronic hits and tones from older classics.
Creative combinations really drive this Canadian artist to a truly unique sound that will have fans from all sectors of music appreciation. “Along” is just that kind of chill ambiance we need with dreamy electronica. The person behind Teen Daze, Jamison, seems to have taken a break since his debut EPs in 2012. As many musicians do, they roll with the punches and it seems to be reflected in their work. Teen Daze has taken advantage of this hiatus to not only sort out personal aspects but to channel that passion into new material. This is reflected heavily in “Along”, and we’ll expect the trend to follow in the new album Morning World.
However I’m sure with time comes some changes. As great as it is that Teen Daze cultivated a unique and respectable sound back in 2012, nobody’s to say whether this will carry over to 2015. As an artist they are always experimenting with new sounds and styles, so it will be unique to see the direction and approach they take with this new album after taking some time off. By the sounds of “Along”, we’re sure to hear some great new beats and styles by Teen Daze.
