Judas Priest Announce Fall 2015 Tour Dates With Openers Mastodon

Metal-legends, Judas Priest are set to team-up with one of metals modern-pioneers, Mastodon for an explosive tour through both the U.S. and Canada this Fall.  The Fall tour arrives as a continuation of live-performance support fresh on the heels of their surprisingly-sucessful 17th studio effort, Redeemer of Souls.

The overwhelming success of Priest’s new album, topping the Billboard 200 at an impressive #6 spot, marks the peak of a new era for their career as metal-gods.  Redeemer of Souls opened up the doors for a new tour regimen including appearances at this year’s upcoming Knotfest in late October.  Knotfest, held at the San Manuel Ampitheater in San Bernardino, CA will lay-claim to an entire entourage of genre-slashing, metal artists, including: Korn, Trivium, Cannibal Corpse, and most-notably their acclaimed-openers, Mastodon.

Headlining a tour demands the attention of a spectacular opening-act to flesh out such a well-oiled machine.  What better opener to the longtime living-legends of metal, than to call to task masters of the modern-age, Mastodon.  In the wake of their latest release, Once More ‘Round the Sun, which features stunning concept video for the track, “Asleep in the Deep,”  Mastodon was forced to cancel a round of shows on their summer tour this year due to some personal family issues.  The band seeks to reaffirm their dedication to the fan-base by aiding in the tour this Fall with Judas Priest.

Armed with a reinvigorated drive to perform, colorful-frontman, Rob Halford and the rest of the gang from Priest have had their work cut-out for them, taking the festival circuit by storm in 2015.  Hitting England’s own: Download Festival and France’s: Hellfest in June, the band shared the stage with such classic-fav’s as Kiss, Scorpions, Marilyn Manson,  as well as metals younger-lads: Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Five-Finger Death Punch.
