!!! (chk chk chk) has announced the release of their sixth studio album, As If, due on October 16 via WARP records. In addition to the announcement, the group has release the singles “Freedom! ‘15” and “Sick Ass Moon” via SoundCloud.
“Freedom! ‘15” has an uplifting beat upfront, with an underline disco groove. The combination of female voices throughout, create soft harmony that blends smoothly over the electronic sounds. Overall the song is mellow as the melody goes on for a full six minutes. As for “Sick Ass Moon,” the groundwork of techno sound is similar, but the song has a bit more of a modern vibe.
The group hopes to soon announce tour dates to promote the upcoming album. !!! plans to set up dates in Japan, North America, and Europe.
