Belle and Sebastian have just released a new video for their single “Perfect Couples” which was released back in January on their LP Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance via Matador Records.
The new visual is nearly 9 minutes long and features a number of 1960’s themed dancers who seem to be passing through some sort of house party. The video is shot on one set with a stationary camera and seems to have been shot in only one long take. The Forest of Black, Belle and Sebastian’s production company, originally put it together for the band’s recent tour. Under The Radar calls it “more of a staged modern dance piece” than a music video.
Nonetheless, their newest video seems to fit the Scottish indie pop band’s brand perfectly.
