White Sea has released a catchy new track called “Stay Young, Get Stoned,” now available for streaming.
The track is currently available to stream on Soundcloud, iTunes, Spotify and other digital music outlets. “Stay Young, Get Stoned” is three and a half minutes of White Sea’s breathy vocals over a mid-tempo beat and synth. It’s a great summer song that explores the desire to stay youthful and act a certain way when you have other obligations and limited time. Listen to the brand new track below.
White Sea is the solo act of Morgan Kibby, former songwriter and keyboardist for M83 and former lead vocalist for The Romanovs. She released her debut solo album, In Cold Blood, last summer to quite bit of praise. Kibby participated in an interview with mxdwn in April 2015 to talk about the differences between all the projects she’s been a part of, how she got involved in music, her biggest influences and more. To hear more of her sound and get a glimpse at the White Sea aesthetic, check out the music video for the track “Prague” from In Cold Blood. At first, “Stay Young, Get Stoned” and “Prague” seem very similar, but the latter contains harsher instrumentals and it is overall a louder and less mellow track.
