Wavves Announce New Album V For October 2015 Release

Wavves has announced a new LP V and released the single “Way Too Much.” The album is scheduled for release on October 2 via Ghost Ramp / Warner Bros. Records.

“Way Too Much” kicks off with a steady catchy beat established during the first note. The drum and guitars take a mellow backseat as the vocals take the lead. The track overall is quite short, ending at two minutes and 33 seconds. Notably, the general sound is different from what Wavves has revealed in the past which may be a tease for the entire album to come taking on a slightly different feel.

Recently, Wavves had a public dispute with their record label after putting up “Way Too Much” without permission. Wavves took to Twitter to bash Warner Bros. Records, the full story is here. In early July, the group released new video for the single “Leave.” Additionally, Wavves recently collaborated with Cloud Nothings to release a new single “No Life For Me.” The duo (Cloud Nothings’ Dylan Baldi and Wavves’ Nathan Williams) is expected to release a collaborate LP, No Life For Me, but no official release date has yet to be announced.
