After Young Ejecta released the new track “Into Your Heart” (NSFW), we’re so excited to see a brand new video for the track here. They have broken the boundaries with this video for “Into Your Heart”. The video includes a solo dancer with an incredible captivating routine that you can not keep your eyes off of. The switch in scenery accompanied with the smooth movements of the dancer create the ethereal feel that this track provides. Not only is it a fun dreamy song, but it provides just enough mix of various genres to be unique without being too cookie cutter. Dreamy pop is always a fun experimental area of music, and Young Ejecta are definitely breaking out into the scene with this video.
Young Ejecta’s EP Young Planet has interesting avante-garde sounds without slipping too far into cliche pop. What makes the video for “Into Your Heart” so unique is the simplicity of it. One single dancer the entire time, nothing disrupting his movement or rhythm. The only thing that changes is the background, to which it does not even effect the dancer. This video, although simple, highlights firstly the talent of the dancer and the high and low points of the track. You can’t help but love how there is no choppiness whatsoever between the video and the song.
Young Ejecta are still a group that is breaking into a bigger audience. They are finding what makes them unique as musicians and developing it with new material. Without making it too strange to where nobody can relate to it, but incorporating elements of pop, electronica and indie they manage to create a great mellow sound.
The video for “Into Your Heart” is whimsical but serious enough to emphasize the story behind it. The creative journey the dancer goes through might be depicted as the journey of falling in love with a different outcome than the oh so popular happily ever after. It’s interpretive, it’s unique and it’s everything that Young Ejecta seems to incorporate in their songs in a beautifully done video.
We can’t wait to see what is done further with the duo. With their EP released this past January, they have so much on the horizon. They’re currently on tour with Lower Dens.
