Editors will be releasing their latest album, In Dream, on October 2 via Play It Again Sam.
In Dreams will be the fifth studio album from Editors, following 2013’s The Weight of Your Love. It is also the second album to feature Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams with founding members Tom Smith, Russell Leetch and Ed Lay. The British band has been touring worldwide for the two years in between albums. They have also already released seven-and-a-half-minute music video for “Marching Orders,” one of the tracks from the forthcoming album.
Editors recorded the new album in Crear, in the Western Highlands of Scotland and all five members were producers on the record, due to the fact that In Dreams is centered around the idea of collaboration. It is also the first Editors album to feature a duet: a track called “The Law” that was recorded with Rachel Goswell of Slowdive. Goswell also provided backing vocals on “Ocean of Night” and “At All Cost.” Band member Smith said that the album is driven by the belief that music can be “both pop and experimental.” In Dreams will be available in multiple formats, including digital download, LP, CD and deluxe 2CD.
