Above and Beyond have just released a new video for their single “Counting Down the Days”
The music video replicates the 2009 film 500 Days of Summer, showing the same plot in between scenes of Gemma Hayes walking in a field as their high energy hit single from their latest album, We Are All We Need, plays in the background. The video is a part of an ongoing homage to film, having previously released “All Over the World,” which patterns the narrative of the film Catch Me If You Can. This is the first time the electronic group have worked with Gemma Hayes.
“We first came across Gemma through a bootleg mix that found its way on to our Group Therapy radio show,” said Jono Grant, 1/3 of the electronic group. “Coming from a folk background, her voice has an honesty and emotion to it that really stood out from the pack and felt a perfect match for this song co-written with Victoria Horn.”
A few weeks back, Above and Beyond had Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston on stage with them at Electric Daisy Carnival. The group will be performing at Moonrise Festival next month. Check out the video for “Counting Down the Days” below.
